Ablatherm® certified as a first-line treatment option by the AFU

In a recent publication (May 2008) from the French Association of Urology (AFU) published in an internationally renowned scientific review, AFU experts reasserted the status of Ablatherm® HIFU as a standard of care for the treatment of localised prostate cancer. The literature review published by the AFU concludes that Ablatherm® is a valid alternative to treat a well-defined population of prostate cancer patients with: at least 70 years, T1 or T2 prostate cancer, Gleason score inferior or equal to 7, PSA level inferior or equal to 15 ng/ml and a prostatic volume inferior or equal to 50 cc.
