Ambulatory treatment in one or two sessions

In addition to its effectiveness, Ablatherm HIFU is a treatment that can be performed in an ambulatory setting, which many patients consider to be one of its most important characteristics. This means in most instances patients can be treated and recover well enough to go home the same day. Most treatments with Ablatherm HIFU are carried out under local anaesthetic (epidural) which allows patients shorter recovery times.

In approximately 80% of cases, one treatment is enough and if it is successful, a patient will likely never be hospitalised again because of his prostate. They will simply need to have his PSA checked regularly.
